Object of Business:
ECRA Emission Certificate Registry Austria GmbH has been charged by
Umweltbundesamt GmbH pursuant to Art. 2 Decree on Registry Service Office (Federal Law Gazette II
308/2004) to act as the Austrian Registry Service Office to fulfill the tasks set out in Art. 21
Austrian Emissions Allowances Act and Art. 47 Act on Environmental Funding). The principal task of
the Registry Service Office in the emissions allowances market consists of operating a standardized
and secure registration system in the form of an electronic databank for tracking the issuance,
ownership, transfer, and cancellation of emissions allowances.
